Beginner’s green smoothie


My New Year’s resolution this year was to have a green smoothie a day. Mainly because I wasn’t eating enough fruit and veg and figured drinking them would be the best way to get over my ‘fussy’ issues!

To get started I knew I needed to keep it fairly sweet and stick to what I liked. I had tried green smoothies in my old blender in the past and had always felt like I was eating them, especially if it was kale! The greens just wouldn’t blend enough for my tastes. But with my Thermomix that isn’t a problem anymore :)

So here’s my go to green smoothie. Definitely good to try as a beginner green smoothie.

2 handfuls kale (or baby spinach)
2 frozen bananas
1 cup mango
1 cup pineapple
2 cups coconut water
1 handful ice

Blitz on speed 10 for 1 minute
Makes 2 serves
